Not at all. The ACR Seren 70 is a fully electric fire, which means there’s no need for a chimney, gas connection, or ventilation. It simply plugs into a standard 3-pin socket — giving you a real-flame experience without any of the traditional restrictions.

Can this be installed into a media wall or stud wall feature?

Yes — in fact, that’s what it’s designed for. The Seren 70 is made for recessed installation into stud walls, false chimney breasts, or custom-built media wall units. As long as the cavity matches the fire’s dimensions and meets ventilation clearance, it’s a perfect fit.

Does the fire actually produce heat, or is it just for show?

It definitely produces heat. You can choose from 0.75kW or 1.5kW of fan-assisted warmth — enough to take the chill off a room or add a cosy layer of comfort. And if you just want the flames, the fire also runs in flame-only mode with no heat output.
