How to Adjust Airflow on the ACR Malvern II Classic 5kW Multifuel Stove for the Perfect Burn
Whether you’re burning wood or smokeless fuel, the ACR Malvern II Classic gives you full control over your fire’s performance. Adjusting the airflow correctly not only improves efficiency but also keeps your stove and chimney cleaner for longer.
For wood burning, open the secondary air control (the slider above the door) — this feeds air across the glass, keeping it clear and ensuring a cleaner, hotter burn. Close the primary air control (beneath the door) once the fire is established, as wood burns best on a bed of hot embers with air coming from above.
For smokeless fuel, it’s the opposite — open the primary air control to feed air beneath the fuel bed for a steady, even burn, and reduce the secondary air as needed.
